Veris Group Adaptive Threat Division’s industry-leading experts to share tips and advice with penetration testing community
Vienna, VA, November 12, 2015 — Veris Group LLC today announced that three of its Adaptive Threat Division (ATD) members will present at the SANS Pen Test Hackfest Training Event and Summit 2015. Will Schroeder, an ATD Security Researcher, and Justin Warner, the ATD’s Red Team Capability Lead, will present “Building an Empire with PowerShell.” The presentation covers the Empire Project and how it helps pen testers integrate PowerShell into their engagements in a secure manner through a robust post-exploitation agent. Steve Borosh, an ATD Application Security Tester, will co-present “What Goes In Must Come Out: Egress-Assess and Data Exfiltration.” The presentation covers new capabilities of open source tool, Egress-Assess, and how the features enable pen testers to better emulate documented threats and test if network defenses can proactively catch malware.
The SANS Pen Test Hackfest Training Event and Summit 2015 will be held from November 16-17 in Alexandria, VA. The Hackfest is an ideal way for information security professionals to learn offensive techniques to better defend their organizational environments. The “Building an Empire with PowerShell” and “What Goes In Must Come Out: Egress-Assess and Data Exfiltration” presentations will take place on Monday, November 16, 2015.
